Sea Swimming
Calheta Beach offers safe swimming in a sheltered site. If you wish to go further afield there are many Lidos around the island, in particular at Funchal and Porto Moniz
Aquarium
There is an aquarium at Porto Moniz which has an interesting collection of fish and other sea creatures more
Art Centre

Gardens
Madeira's gardens brim over with exotic blooms.These are to be found at various locations throughout the island.
Golf
There are two excellent golf courses on Madeira including the championship golf course at Santo da Serra further info and Palheiro further info. A third golf course is under construction nearby at Ponto do Pargo.
